Time to catch up!

Wow! It's been a long time since I wrote anything on here - let's see if we can sum it up:
  • Tessa is now 16 months old and her favorite word is "no-no-no-no-no!"

Tessa got to ride on an airplane last week to go and visit her family in Ohio - it went well thanks to a last minute purchase of a DVD player!

No solo walking yet but she is a great assisted walker!

She loves to dance and blows the best kisses

She is going to have to share the love come November as there will be Baby Simi #2 making his/her appearance

I think that's everything. She is an absolute handful but comes up with something new everyday to entertain us (not so much the dog and cat though). We just had a check-up at Gillette and her thumb looks great - the scar has tightened up nicely and the movement is just great so no more appointments for another year! YEAH!!!! We are excited to see how she will react with the new addition (but at least we know there is only one and not 2, 3 or 4 like the first dr thought!).

Do all the years fly by this fast?

Tessa is now one! It's hard to believe that the little girl who is scooting around all over the place and is now a rockin' solid 21 lbs 7 oz and 31 1/2 inches long is the same baby that was under 6 lbs. We got the all clear from Mahoney today and did our normal comparison to his daughter who is just 3 weeks younger than Tess. Yes, her head is still up there in the 95th percentile but at least the rest of her is catching up. She enjoyed her first Christmas and b-day - what a lot of presents. I keep telling people that it looks like Target exploded in my living room.

She has her first molars, top two teeth and a bottom one all coming in at the same time! But most exciting for us....no more formula! Cow's milk it is! Soon the bottles and the nuk all get to go away. At our next dr appointment, Mahoney will share with us the secret to potty training a 15 month old. Aaron is VERY excited!

May 2009 be filled with happiness, fun and the occassional surprise!

First meeting with Santa

Well, Tessa had her first encounter with Santa on Friday. The Schuster clan all took the day off and headed to Macy's (just like the commercial!) to view the 8th floor exhibit. A little shorter than I remember it being but still fun. She wasn't too sure of the whole thing until we got in and she could see things moving. She just kept staring at everything with her mouth wide open (and not drooling!). Afterwards, Auntie Kari and I decided that it would be good to have her meet the big guy in the red suit. Well, a photo is worth a thousands words...or in this case...a thousand screams. The day ended with a fun late lunch and the custom gingerbread cookies with red hots!

Poor Santa...I hope he doesn't hold it against her this year!

It's almost a year!

It's my first kid's birthday so I'm allowed to go full out, right? Check out her cute b-day invitations. Her christmas pictures are on the 13th and we're excited to have 2 cute outfits - her dress from Sophia's Style and her Korean dress (hanbok). Unfortunetly, I had to buy her a smaller one so she won't be able to wear her "real" one from my Korean family but she can grow into it. Can't wait!!!!

Happy Halloween!

Tessa got to take in her first parade. We went to the Anoka Halloween Parade on Saturday. She got to see floats and a bunch of kids dressed up - she left the candy to Isaac but did manage to bring home one snickers bar for Dad. Personally, she was the cutest one there and she managed to keep her outfit (including the ears) on the whole time!
