Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated a day early - the weather was too nice to wait until Sunday. A trip to DQ for lunch with Tessa and her first official ice cream cone. Hey, wait a second...whose day were we celebrating anyways?!?!? I'm not sure what she liked better - the ice cream cone or the cherry red slushie that she got to have instead of milk. Then it was off to the park for some swinging. Or so we thought. The swing did not bring the smiles that we thought it would but the slide...now that was another story! Our little dare devil wanted to do it all by herself. No help from Dad or Mom - she had such a good time that she cried the whole drive home. Daddy got to open his gift early too - his very own laptop that he and Tessa can watch "mon*eys" on!!! For those of you who don't know - "money" is "monkey" in our house. She is in love with these little monkeys on the Disney channel and anything Mickey Mouse is "hot dog". We know she's got it bad when she says "nite, nite TV!" Enjoy the pics and the BIG smiles!!!!

Wow! It's been a long time since I wrote anything on here - let's see if we can sum it up:

• Tessa is now 16 months old and her favorite word is "no-no-no-no-no!"

Tessa got to ride on an airplane last week to go and visit her family in Ohio - it went well thanks to a last minute purchase of a DVD player!

No solo walking yet but she is a great assisted walker!

She loves to dance and blows the best kisses

She is going to have to share the love come November as there will be Baby Simi #2 making his/her appearance

I think that's everything. She is an absolute handful but comes up with something new everyday to entertain us (not so much the dog and cat though). We just had a check-up at Gillette and her thumb looks great - the scar has tightened up nicely and the movement is just great so no more appointments for another year! YEAH!!!! We are excited to see how she will react with the new addition (but at least we know there is only one and not 2, 3 or 4 like the first dr thought!).

Great-Grandma's 90th Birthday

We got to celebrate Great-Grandma's 90th Birthday this weekend and the great-grandkids gave her a special present. We think she liked it!!!!

Do all the years fly by this fast?

Tessa is now one! It's hard to believe that the little girl who is scooting around all over the place and is now a rockin' solid 21 lbs 7 oz and 31 1/2 inches long is the same baby that was under 6 lbs. We got the all clear from Mahoney today and did our normal comparison to his daughter who is just 3 weeks younger than Tess. Yes, her head is still up there in the 95th percentile but at least the rest of her is catching up. She enjoyed her first Christmas and b-day - what a lot of presents. I keep telling people that it looks like Target exploded in my living room.

She has her first molars, top two teeth and a bottom one all coming in at the same time! But most exciting for us....no more formula! Cow's milk it is! Soon the bottles and the nuk all get to go away. At our next dr appointment, Mahoney will share with us the secret to potty training a 15 month old. Aaron is VERY excited!
