Happy Summer!

Well, summer is finally here - sortof. Tessa is donning her new summer digs (courtesy of Elisabeth!). She is 5 1/2 months and VERY independent and loves all of her bunnies - they seem to be here thing. She is in love with daycare still - who wouldn't when she gets new toys there too! She is definitely one of the family. She is eating well and loves just about everything except for peas. Tessa got to visit her newest little friend, Hailey yesterday who is only 3 weeks old. We could see the wheels turning about the trouble that these little ones will get into someday.

She's 4 months old!

Is is possible that my baby is 4 months old! You can see that life is pretty exciting for her. She is loving food right now - green beans and carrots - pretty exciting stuff! Tessa weighs 13 lbs already and had a great check-up at the doctor (although she probably could have done without the shots). Daycare is going really well - she is the only kid there and is completely spoiled.

I know these postings are a little backwards but had to share Tessa's first Easter! Needless to say, her cousin Sophia and Tessa shop at the same great places. I love the picture of the two of them - they seem to be saying to each other - "Hey, nice dress but next year - we've got to talk!"

It's been 3 months!

Is it possible that Tessa is now 3 months & 8 days old? She has developed into quite the little person - all attitude! For the most part she is a happy baby and as long as we continue to swaddle her at night, sleeps all the way through! I headed back to work on April 2nd and so now Dad takes Tessa to daycare. She is very, very spoiled at daycare since she is the only full-time kid there. She has all new toys and Michelle takes very good care of here (even on her iffy days!).

She is pretty strong and holds her head up pretty well (still a little bobble-headed) but we can tell the days of her being still are soon going to come to an end. She loves to stand up and with a little help can do it pretty much on her own for a few seconds. And her favorite toy....TV!!! She really liked the Wild hockey game the other night.

She did it!!!!

Now, I know that I shouldn't get too excited about this - but Tessa slept 8 hours last night! She didn't wake up until 6 a.m.!!! We were so thrilled and a little dazed at actually having 8 full hours of sleep - but I'm sure we'll get used to it again! Keep your fingers crossed that this wasn't a one time thing and that she does it again tonight since Grandma Simonsen is coming over to help baby-sit tomorrow!

Two months have flown by!

It doesn't seem possible that two months have already flown by! She has changed so much in the first two months and has gone from this little tiny baby to a much more vocal little girl who loves to eat! She has almost doubled her size - she is now a healthy 9lbs & 10oz. Dr. Mahoney was very pleased.

Everyone says that she looks more like Aaron - he thinks it's just because she has such chubby cheeks but we see both of us in her. Her hair is coming in longer and a little thicker but is definitely not jet black. Only time will tell!

I decided to take monthly pictures of her in the same 12-month onesie to watch her grow. (Thanks to the Martha Stewart show for this tip - watched it the day I went into labor - it was a sign!!!) The first picture if from February at 1 month old and the second one is March. She tolerates the picture taking for only so long so have to be quick about it. She is sitting in the infamous chair in her room. What fun it was picking out the fabric and then trying to fit it into the room!
